Operator Functions

Description

The one feature that I truly miss inside of Colloquy is Operator functions. I just recently was given operator status in a chat network and I am rather new to IRC in general (I got the position cause I am on staff) and don't really know my IRC actions. Like /kick and stuff. I think it would be useful, where you have the actions and favorites buttons to have an Operators drop down too. With these functions. That way you can use GUI functions to configure and send messages. :)

It sounds like the feature you want is already in Colloquy...If you select a user and then use the actions button (or right click the name at any time) there is a short list of things you can do to the person (e.g. kick, ban, promote to operator, demote, voice...). The get info panel for the channel should give you other chanop-related tasks (channel moderated, invite-only, secret).

  • status changed from new to closed

jane is right about the gui, also check out context menu + <option key> for advanced kick/ban stuff. and there is a page in the wiki that lists most of the /commands: Documentation/CommandReference
