Unable to change save download files to location

Description

Since the changes to allow for the 64bit build (around 4383) I have been unable to change the download location to anything other then downloads. I tried trashing the preferences but it still doesn't work. Thanks for all your hardwork.

Using on a Macbook Pro Leopard 10.5.7
