Colloquy is the only Mac IRC client that's kept up to date that's worth using (In my humble opinion. :) The only thing I wish it did was text-to-speech. After scouring all the old IRC clients, the only two I could find that did text to speech would not connect to my irssi IRC proxy (only to the server itself.) It'd be great to have this enhancement!

Colloquy already has rudimentary voiceover support. There are other tickets to improve its support.
