colloquy disconnecting (timing out) constantly

i had been using colloquy app for a few months now to connect to irc.efnet.org and it has worked great up unitl last week or so. now im getting disconnected after timing out. doesnt matter if phone is active or in sleep mode. i used to stay connected for hours while phone was in sleep mode. i can no longer stay connected for more than a couple of minutes.

Works for me.. reopen with more details if this is still happening; does this happen with wifi or edge or 3g? what specific server? etc.
