Colloquy could detect iTMS links like Safari does:

right now, when you click an itms link in Colloquy, safari will activate, recognize that its opening an itms link, close its window again and then itunes will activate.

if colloquy would launch itunes right away it would be much more convenient, especially when safari isnt running at all.
